Online Poker Rooms Begin to Worry about United States Laws Encroaching upon the Rakeback Sharing Affiliate Program

Posted under poker

With all of the difficulties that online poker rooms and casinos such as Fulltiltpoker.com have had with the United States government and the endless amounts of regulations and legislation that is handed down from lawmakers aimed at making it nearly impossible for online poker rooms and casinos to conduct business on the Web, it is not surprising that there is some concern by players and proprietors alike that the rakeback sharing affiliate programs that provide so much incentive for players to participate in online poker rooms and casinos might come under fire and be targeted by the United States government as a method of cracking down on these types of websites and preventing players from profiting.  With this fear, players are more and more reluctant to participate in these rakeback sharing affiliate programs due to the looming danger of their criminalization by the United States government in the near future.  With all the talk of criminalizing the behavior of online poker room and casino players, rather than simply targeting the poker room itself, the government steps beyond the usual realm of making life difficult for online poker room and casino proprietors target the player at the source, making it very difficult for these types of websites to recruit from the available player base.

As the government steadily continues to introduce all manner of new legislation aimed at answering the abilities of online poker rooms and casinos to conduct business on the Web, it becomes readily apparent that there are a few methods of reducing the players interest in the online poker rooms and casinos and their ability to generate income through the rakeback sharing affiliate programs that are available at nearly every online poker room and casino.  In the event that the government is successful in its attempts to dismantle the online poker room and casino industry in the United States and the ability for players to participate in these types of gaming and gambling institutions, it is very likely that the industry would quickly grind to a halt.  Without the ability to participate in the rakeback sharing affiliate program, players have very little incentive to choose any one online poker room and casino over another, eliminating a very strong motivating recruitment tool.
