With a guest list that includes Phil Hellmuth and all manner of other professional level American Texas Hold’em poker tournament players, the European poker tournament is starting to look like an American poker tournament. Along with all of the American players, the European poker tour has attracted a tremendous amount of players from all around the world that have built up a reputation for being some of the most talented players on earth. With all of these extraordinarily skilled players competing to participate at the poker tournaments at the European poker tour, it is anybody’s guess who might come out victorious on a regular basis. While it is sure that some of these talented players are considered to be on a skill level all their own, the levels of competition at the European poker tour extraordinarily high, with competition levels strong enough even for former World Series of poker tournament in Las Vegas winner Phil Hellmuth.
In the case of the local players who have turned out to compete in the European poker tournament, it is fairly obvious that these individuals are not only skilled but ready to battle it out for the championship prize at the European poker tour. As more and more players from around the world show up to compete, it becomes increasingly clear that American players are highly motivated to compete in the Kaiser tournaments as often as possible, flying in at their own expense in many cases to compete in the world famous European poker tour.
With the saturation of these types of poker tournament around the world, it can only mean good news for those players who make their name by competing in as many of these types of tournaments as possible, raising the publicity and exposure level of both the player and the event as well. This is the symbiotic nature of the relationship of player and tournament, as the two feed off of each other and create a tremendous amount of exposure and publicity that carries over into other formats such as television and creates a high level of popularity. Obviously, with all of the attention being paid to this type of tournament, it only makes sense for players to turn out in as large of numbers as possible in order to achieve some of the publicity and exposure that is such a big part of their lives and makes such a tremendous difference in their overall popularity and marketability.
