A huge prize pool was announced by Bodog Poker site, with the main Texas hold em event awarding $300,000 guaranteed. The total prizes for the eight day event will be more than $650,000, over the course of the weeklong Texas hold em tournament. The Bodog Texas Hold em tournament will begin Sunday, September 28th and continues until Sunday, October 5th. The popular poker website will also feature six “Bounty” eliminatories, where the participants can win $109 in poker credits for each Team Bodog poker competitor they knock out of the poker tournament. The biggest poker celebs will be competing against all conteders in the event.

Team Bodog champ, Justin Bonomo, is indisputably psyched about the poker contest. Throughout his poker career, the 23 year old has won over $1.4 million. He says that if you considered that the first poker contest was a good one, you will definitely be astounded with this year’s poker open and the awards involved. He also challenges anyone that dares to knock him out of the Texas hold em tournament to step forward.

The first Bounty Tournament is going to be the first poker match in the championship on Sunday. Any poker challenger is able to buy-In right into this, and any of the other events with cash. Or another option is to win their way into the events through the satellites which are presented every night during the Texas Hold em contest week.
